UK Metropolitan Police to Expand Its Cybercrime Unit to 500 Officers – Report

With the launch of the National Crime Agency (NCA), 70% of the Scotland Yard officers handing cybercrimes have been transferred to the new agency. However, reports say that the Metropolitan Police plans on considerably expanding its cybercrime unit over the next years.

Initially, Scotland Yard handled the entire England and Wales. However, after the launch of the NCA, the agency was tasked with focusing on London alone.
