Blizzard Entertainment Hit With Weekend DDoS Attack

Blizzard Entertainment reported a crippling DDoS attack over the weekend creating chronic latency and connection issues for players of games Overwatch, World of Warcraft and others. The DDoS attack has since subsided, according to Blizzard, but users are still grousing on Twitter over lingering connection issues and feature unavailability within some games.

A majority of the top 1 million websites earn an “F” letter grade when it comes to adopting defensive security technology that protect visitors from XSS vulnerabilities, man-in-the-middle attacks, and cookie hijacking.
