Today the company announced that it is ordering six new shows, including Chris Carters apocalyptic drama The After, the LA detective noir Bosch, Jill Soloways comedic drama Transparent, and Mozart in the Jungle. Two kids series have also been ordered, one of which is Gortimer Gibbons Life On Normal Street — the first Amazon TV series to have been submitted through the companys open-door submissions program. Viewership doubled from last pilot season While this was just the second time Amazon held one of its online pilot seasons, the company is clearly dialing in on what its customers are interested in.
