Apple, IBM team up on devices for business

Apple and IBM unveiled a landmark partnership Tuesday to win over business customers by offering iPhones and iPads that are specially tailored to the enterprise users. The partnership will offer apps for the Apple devices which bring the power of IBMs supercomputing analytics to a mobile workforce, according to a joint statement. The move aims to boost Apples share of the market for mobile devices for enterprises, by offering specially tailored apps, security and other services that are part of IBMs core business. The landmark partnership aims to redefine the way work will get done, address key industry mobility challenges and spark true mobile-led business change, the statement said.
