Apple TV adds new apps for Lifetime, The History Channel, and A&E

Apple added three new channels today to expand its Apple TV offerings. Courtesy of AE Networks, cable subscribers can now download apps for Lifetime, AE, and The History Channel. The only catch is that the providers supported in todays rollout are limited to DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, and Cablevision Optimum. While the network says that support for other major and local providers is forthcoming, fans of Dance Moms on Comcast will still have to wait to stream their favorite episodes.
