On what would have been Kurt Cobains 47th birthday, his hometown of Aberdeen, Washington, finally honored the rock star yesterday with a statue. Unfortunately, the statue looks more like a crying Jesus. Randi Hubbard of Aberdeen started making the odd statue out of cement 20 years ago, right after the Nirvana singer committed suicide. She finished it with the help of local art students and offered it to the town, but because of the cold relationship between Aberdeen and Cobain, the city refused it.
