Star Wars isnt the only famed franchise with casting news this week: the new Terminator reboot is adding Matt Smith to its cast. Smith is best known for his performance as The Doctor in Doctor Who, though he stepped down after this past season, making way for veteran UK actor Peter Capaldi to take his place. According to Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions, Smith will play a new character with a strong connection to John Connor, with Deadline reporting that he will feature in all three films of the new Terminator trilogy.
