Etsy Wholesale to connect sellers with Nordstrom, West Elm and more this summer

Etsys Wholesale efforts have been in beta since last year, seeking to introduce artisans with retailers out to nab up unique wares. Now, the online marketplace announced that the program will launch in August, and that it will collect a connection fee of sorts for its match-making efforts. Etsy stands to pocket a 3.5 percent transaction fee on wholesale orders with each seller having to pony up a one-time joining fee of $100.
