The monument is being created artist Sigurður Guðmundsson, with help from two art directors from the game, Börkur Eiríksson and Ásgeir Jón Ásgeirsson. The dark aluminum sculpture will stand five meters tall and feature a quote from the game etched on its surface, and it will rest on a platform that features the names of all active, paying EVE Online players as of March 1st, 2014.
