Exciting Windows Phone 8.1 high-end smartphones tipped to support 2K displays

Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8.1 mobile operating system will soon offer support for even better hardware, NokiaPowerUser suggests, as evidence in Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 2 apparently indicates that 2K displays and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 chip may be found inside future high-end handsets. Thus, future Lumia handsets and other Windows Phones may offer the same set of specs expected from upcoming Android flagship handsets. The publication says that Windows Phone 8.1 currently supports two additional resolutions, including qHD (960 x 540) and FWVGA (854 x 480). When it comes to processors, the software update supports CPUs up to Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processors.
