Speaking to Pocket-Lint, Facebook said that it is currently focused on collecting and reacting to user feedback regarding the app before making any decision to launch it in other territories or on other platforms. However, for those that live beyond the US and that have an iPhone, TechCrunch has published a workaround that will help users fool the App Store into thinking theyre based in America and so be able to download and start using the app. The fact that Facebook is more interested in user feedback than potential user numbers suggests that Paper is being used as a way of testing Facebook design changes that could soon come to the website and feature in future standalone apps. Meanwhile, another app developer has requested that Facebook rename its Paper app.
