Good Guy Mark: Facebook CEO Gave Nearly $1B To Charity in 2013

Everyone bow down and kiss Mark Zuckerberg’s Keds because there’s further proof that it’s America’s world and we’re just living in it. The Facebook CEO and cofounder was the most generous philanthropist in 2013 with his one time donation of $970 million to a nonprofit in Silicon Valley last December. That huge chunk of cash, which equaled about 18 million Facebook shares, earned him the top slot on the Chronicle of Philanthropy’s year-end list released today. The donation was made to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, an organization that disperses money to other nonprofits in the health, education and environmental sects.
