Google Tightens Security with BoringSSL

A name like BoringSSL might be more likely to induce somnolence than excitement, but this unobtrusive security update might be just what Google needs to simplify security across dozens of systems. By developing its own fork of the OpenSSL networking security protocol, Google hopes to avoid both ancient bugs and tedious updates. The information comes from the blog of Adam Langley, a senior staff software engineer at Google.
