Google’s Cartographer is a backpack for mapping the insides of buildings

Google has an unusually high interest in strapping small computers to peoples bodies in the name of bettering the spread of information. Something called Cartographer, which — as the name suggests — is a project to map things. As people walk with it on, it creates a map thats accurate up within 5cm (3.9 inches).
