Hackers accessed over 1,000 StubHub accounts and used them to buy tickets

The ticket resale site StubHub had thieves access more than 1,000 customer accounts when it became the target of an international cyber fraud ring, according to Reuters and the Associated Press. The thieves reportedly acquired StubHub users account details from breaches on other websites and used those accounts to fraudulently purchase tickets. StubHub was able to detect the unauthorized transactions and refund them last year, and its reported that arrests have now been made in the case.
