Producer David Fincher and author Gillian Flynn will reunite again, and this time on HBO: the team has signed on to create the US adaptation of the British series Utopia. The Channel 4 conspiracy thriller series was created by Dennis Kelly and produced by Kudos, and Fincher will direct the US adaptation with Flynn writing the script, according to Deadline. Entertainment Weekly reported the series logline: It also marks a big win for HBO, finally snagging a Fincher production just three years after Netflix outbid the pay cable company for House of Cards. After the success of that series and others like Netflixs original Orange is the New Black, HBO probably wants to bolster its offerings, which already include popular shows like Game of Thrones and True Detective, with a Fincher/Flynn series.
