How a man’s fight for freedom ended his CIA career

Before Jeffrey Scudder became a manager at a consulting firm, he worked in the CIA. According to The Washington Times, his career was cut short after he submitted a Freedom of Information request, which allows anyone to ask for federal agency records. I submitted an FOIA and it basically destroyed my entire career, Scudder said. What began as a seemingly innocent attempt at putting information into the hands of the public led to confrontations, confiscation of his familys personal electronics, and his eventual termination — despite Scudders use of legal means.
