Tucked away near the end of President Barack Obamas speech today (Jan. 17) regarding reforms to the National Security Agency was a seemingly innocuous passage that may have a big impact on the way Facebook, Google and other companies do business. This group, the president said, without naming the group Podesta will lead, will consist of government officials who — along with the Presidents Council of Advisors on Science and Technology — will reach out to privacy experts, technologists and business leaders.
