Samsung’s new range of premium tablets take display quality to new levels and are packed full of features that really make the most of their superior image clarity, sharpness and depth of color. Launched at a special event in New York, the Galaxy Tab S range consists of two tablets, an 8.4-inch and a 10.5-inch model, but both boast the same AMOLED display technology that manages to pack in an impressive better-than-high-definition number of pixels — 287ppi for the 10.5-inch model and 360ppi for its smaller sibling. AMOLED displays behave differently from TFT and LCD displays because of the way they are lit. “We know consumers want the best screen when purchasing a tablet, and as an undisputed leader in display technology, we’ve brought our industry-leading Super AMOLED screen to the Tab S for an unrivaled viewing experience in both connected and Wi-Fi options,” said Gregory Lee, president and CEO of Samsung Telecommunications America and Samsung Electronics North America Headquarters.
