Not long after 39-year-old Joby Ogwyn summits Mount Everest this May, hes going to strap on a wingsuit and jump right off it. He will fall for ten minutes traveling at speeds of up to 150 mph before he reaches his final destination at Everest base camp — unless he miscalculates and hits a rock face, or a rogue wind gust blows him into China. This is something I dreamed about as a little kid. The event will be broadcasted live by The Discovery Channel, which is quickly earning its title as the daredevils network of choice, having broadcasted Felix Baumgartners space jump and Nik Wallendas tightrope walk across the Grand Canyon.
