Indeed, you could hear the crowds disappointment when the 360 didnt launch that day the way the Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch did. It looks like LG had an crowd-pleasing ace up its sleeve all along: Engadget reports that the company plans on launching a round, more elegant smartwatch at IFA 2014 next week, right on the heels of the official Moto 360 debut. Competition is certainly heating up in the smartwatch space. HTC is still expected to launch a wearable of their own in time for the holiday season, and Apples iWatch is very much on the way.
