According to Variety, supernatural horror director Scott Derrickson has been tapped to direct Marvels upcoming Doctor Strange film. Even though talks are reportedly still early, the director took to Twitter to confirm the news this afternoon: My next movie will be STRANGE: pic.twitter.com/5pdbO6Op6j — Scott Derrickson (@scottderrickson) June 3, 2014 Both films — as well as much of Derricksons oeuvre — dive deep into the occult and demonic phenomena, which is not entirely inappropriate given Marvels source material.
