Sony sold over 1 million PlayStation 4 consoles in just 24 hours after its US debut, and a week later Microsoft achieved the same 1 million sales for its Xbox One a day after its launch in several countries. Earlier today, Sony revealed it has now sold over 2.1 million PS4s as of December 1st, of which 700,000 came from Europe and Australasia after two days of availability. Microsoft has provided an update on its own next-gen progress today, but it’s not what you’d expect. While Microsoft says Xbox One owners have spent over 50 million hours in games and entertainment on the new console the last 11 days, the company is also providing some fairly meaningless game-related stats.
