Microsoft offers its Chinese factory workers a Lumia 630 to quit

Microsoft is offering thousands of Chinese factory workers a free Nokia Lumia 630 Windows Phone if they apply for a volunteer resignation package. The software maker is cutting around 4,700 jobs at a former Nokia handset factory in Beijing, but the plans have generated protests recently. As a result, Microsoft is trying to tempt workers to resign on a first come, first serve basis with an offer of the Lumia 630. MarketWatch reports that the offer was emailed to employees, noting that up to 300 workers per day are eligible for the free Lumia 630.
