“Mortal Kombat” returns to the fray after a three-year hiatus, and is looking better than ever. Scheduled to launch sometime in 2015, “Mortal Kombat X” takes a giant step forward, adding the fascinating variant system. This is vastly different than “Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance” which allowed players to switch styles on the fly.
