Mozilla is abandoning its plans to release a touch-friendly version of its Firefox web browser for Windows 8 users. Firefox Vice President Johnathan Nightingale says in a blog post that we have to pick our battles, and a lack of demand for Metro mode support led to the decision. On any given day we have, for instance, millions of people testing pre-release versions of Firefox desktop, but we’ve never seen more than 1,000 active daily users in the Metro environment, Nightingale reveals.
