M&S leaves Amazon behind as new website goes live

By James Davey LONDON (Reuters) – Marks Spencer, Britains biggest clothing retailer, has launched a new website platform, a key plank of its strategy to reverse nearly a decade of market share decline in its most profitable business. It replaced a previous platform provided by Amazon since 2007. We want to own our car, not rent it, Laura Wade-Gery, the former Tesco executive recruited by Chief Executive Marc Bolland to develop MSs online capability, told reporters.
