The Pebble Appstore is launching for iOS today, but the company promises that its Android version will be released very, very soon. The store houses more than 1,000 apps that were previously scattered across multiple third-party app stores including PebbleBarn and MyPebbleFaces. The Pebble platform boasts more apps than other competing smartwatch ecosystems. The Sony Smartwatch 2 is compatible with about 300 apps, while the Samsung Galaxy Gear only boasts around 75 apps and only works with select Samsung smartphones.
