New video shows how incredible Safari extensions will be in iOS 8

Developers and savvy fans have already gotten their hands on the early builds of iOS 8, but there’s still plenty we don’t know about Apple’s next big update to its mobile platform. Over the weekend, iOS 8 user Gabriel Nevado documented on Vine his use of a Safari extension made by 1Password that allowed him to log in to his Amazon account with Touch ID. Apple has stated in the past that the functionality of Touch ID will continue to expand, but this is the first we’ve seen of the fingerprint sensor’s advanced capabilities in action on iOS 8. Logging in to your most visited websites is about to become easier than ever — hopefully the security measures can keep up.
