Nokia halts Lumia 2520 tablet sales after a shocking discovery

Nokia announced on Thursday that it would be halting sales of the Lumia 2520 tablet in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Russia, Switzerland and the UK after discovering safety concerns related to the AC-300 travel charger. The tablet is still available in the United States, but sales of the travel charger has been suspended. According to Nokia, the plastic cover of some third-party chargers could loosen and even separate under certain conditions. With the cover separated, internal components would be exposed, posing the hazard of an electric shock. “While there have been no confirmed consumer incidents related to this potential quality issue, product quality and safety are top priorities at Nokia,” said Jo Harlow, EVP Smart Devices. “We apologize to the owners of the
