Wedding, despite what its name may suggest, is not a very pretty part of Berlin. But the twin forces of change and gentrification are slowly seeping into Wedding, as they have across much of post-Cold War Berlin. That used to be a gang house, says Steffen Sauerteig, pointing across a sleepy street at what appears to be a renovated theater. Sauerteig is no stranger to change.
