With just its first trailer, Automata easily takes a place beside Christopher Nolans Interstellar on the list of the best-looking sci-fi films coming this year. The film takes place in a dark future where robots are quickly gaining consciousness, and things go bad when a small number of them actually become sentient and kidnap a human. What really is sentience and humanity and true thought?
