Samsung finally updates Galaxy S4 to KitKat days before Galaxy S5 announcement

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Galaxy S4 has been unofficially available since early January, and Sprint only released its Galaxy S4 KitKat build a few days ago. Now, it looks like Samsung is ready to roll out the software to more Galaxy S4 owners. SamMobile reports that Android 4.4.2 is currently being released to the GT-I9500 international version of the Galaxy S4, a few days ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 MWC 2014 event. According to the publication, which has previously offered users a leaked test KitKat build for the handset, the update is being rolled out in phases, so it won’t be available in all countries at the same time.
