Samsung Galaxy S5 Home Button May Read Your Fingerprint

Samsungs next flagship smartphone could come with a fingerprint sensor built directly into its home button — just like Apples iPhone 5s. A new report claims to confirm that the Galaxy S5 will feature biometric fingerprint scanning that allows users to enroll up to eight prints. Galaxy S5 owners will reportedly be able to assign each finger to a different task, according to Sam Mobile, which says it received the information from insiders. At least one fingerprint must be used to unlock the handset, while other fingers can provide shortcuts to certain apps.
