Even as recently as 2008, the adult industry’s decision to adopt Blu-ray and abandon HD DVD was seen as a death knell for the latter format. With the advent of Ultra HD 4K — which will almost certainly be a driving topic at CES in less than two months time — many are now wondering what sort of influence the adult industry will have on the technology, and vice versa. As the name implies, 4K is video with a resolution far, far beyond the standard of HD video — a 4K video has about four times as many pixels as a 1080p HD video.
