Sony announced today during its Gamescom press event that 10 million PlayStation 4 units have been sold through to consumers worldwide since the console launched last November. This marks another huge milestone for the new generation console as Sony continues to stay well ahead of the competition from both Microsoft and Nintendo. The last official sales figures from Sony had the PlayStation 4 at 7 million units sold back in April, while Microsoft revealed they had moved 5 million Xbox One units at around the same time.
