Sony is reportedly sending press invites for a special media event that will take place on February 24 at MWC 2014, the first official day of the mobile trade show, Xperia Blog reports. On the same day, Samsung will hold its first major mobile event of the year, the first episode of Unpacked 5, where it’ll unveil its first flagship handset of the year. It’s not clear what Sony will bring to MWC, with speculations suggesting that the company’s next flagship smartphone may be unveiled during the Spanish event. Either way, Sony doesn’t seem to mind sharing the spotlight with Samsung on February 24 – Sony’s event takes place at 8:30 a.m. CET, while Samsung’s Galaxy S5 announcement is scheduled
