Spotify Data Breach Means Trouble for Android Users

Spotify users wont like this song: The popular streaming-music service has been hit with a data breach, resulting in unauthorized access of its systems and internal company data. An update to the Android Spotify app is also forthcoming, suggesting that the app may have a vulnerability that was exploited in the hack. The good news is this breach appears to be very small: Spotify says it detected only a single Spotify user account being improperly accessed. This did not include any password, financial or payment information, said Spotify CTO Oskar Stål in a blog post today (May 27).
