Sprint on Tuesday announced its earnings results for the first quarter of the year, revealing that it lost nearly half a million net customers during the period. The carrier said it lost 231,000 net postpaid subscribers and 364,000 net prepaid customers during Q1 2014, with the Sprint platform serving nearly 54 million subscribers in total at the end of the quarter. The company sold 5 million smartphones during the period and moved 3 million customers onto new Sprint Framily plans.
