Steve Jobs happily got a Google employee fired for trying to recruit Apple engineers

Pando’s Mark Ames has been doing a terrific job covering fresh revelations about the probably illegal collusion between Apple and Google to not recruit one another’s employees. And this week he brings us a new story about how Steve Jobs got a Google recruiter fired after she tried to bring one of Apple’s engineers over to Mountain View. According to newly unsealed court documents, Jobs directly emailed Google chairman Eric Schmidt when he learned that Google had targeted one of his employees and said that he “would be very pleased if your recruiting department would stop doing this.” Schmidt immediately leapt into action and sent an email to his HR department demanding an explanation.
