The 90-year-old ‘cocaine fountain’ from the Sinaloa cartel

Leo Sharp is a World War II veteran, a great-grandfather, and a hybridizer beloved for his vivid blooms. He was also recently convicted of being a drug mule on his 90th birthday. For a time, he was Tata, a one-man cocaine fountain operating on a level unheard of by the Detroit DEA office. The New York Times Sam Dolnick reports on Sharps riveting story which involves 229 pounds of cocaine and an incredible connection with one of the worlds most dangerous crime syndicates.
