We’ll never know where Nokia would be right now if it had chosen Android instead of Windows Phone as its mobile platform of choice. Instead, Samsung scared CEO Stephen Elop away from Google’s mobile OS and the rest, as they say, is history. Nokia will soon be out of the mobile phone business once it dumps its devices and services division onto Microsoft as part of a $7.2 billion deal, but the company apparently plans to make waves one last time by unveiling its first Android phone next month.
