In an attempt to expand, Charter Communications has tried several times to buy out Time Warner Cable — its significantly larger competitor — only to be ungraciously turned down. Now Charter is beginning to appeal directly to its competitors shareholders, hoping that theyll see the deal as an promising path away from TWCs shrinking income. Comcast is also supposedly circling TWC, potentially on its own and potentially as a partner of Charters. Either way, two of the cable giants appear to be interested in seeing some consolidation.
