The gore-soaked world of George R.R. Martins Game of Thrones wouldnt look nearly as impressive without the loving ministrations of special effects studios like SpinVFX and Mackevision. The two companies recently published VFX reels highlighting some of their contributions to the fourth season of the beloved fantasy series. Its fascinating to see how much work goes into even the subtlest details, and how a little bit of technical wizardry can help sell the realism of a scene. The seamless integration of computer-generated terrain with real world landscapes is especially impressive.
