When Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith officially ended his run on Doctor Who last Christmas, we got our first look at his successor Peter Capaldi (who knows the color of his kidneys but is otherwise a bit of an enigma.) What we didnt see was the costume that will go a long way towards establishing his character. Today, though, the BBC showed us a conspicuously tie-less Capaldi in a snappy red-lined coat. Its less professorial than Matt Smiths jacket and bow tie, more piecemeal than David Tennants dapper suits, and a long way from Ninth Doctor Christopher Ecclestons black leather jacket.
