Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S5 didn’t exactly knock people’s socks off when it was finally unveiled last month during the annual Mobile World Congress trade show, but it was likely due in large part to the sky-high expectations brought about by months of rumors. Smartphone fans were expecting a quad HD display, a metal enclosure and even an integrated eye scanner, but none of those new features materialized. Instead, all we got was the best smartphone Samsung has ever built. Samsung’s last Galaxy S4 flagship phone was a jack of all trades that really didn’t seem to have much focus. We saw signs of life later in the year when the Galaxy Note 3 finally began to address Samsung’s “feature spam”
