Sam Smiths Stay With Me is all over the radio, and youre almost sure to have heard it by now. Thats not a bad thing, per se. Its a perfectly fine song. Theres just nothing especially new to it, since its probably right to compare his sound to Adele and other pop-soul acts of the last decade. For those of us looking for something new, though, FKA twigs (who you might remember from last weeks Weekender) took Smiths hit, and, by infusing some space-y, sexy trip-hop elements, blasted it into the future. The world needs more of this and in a hurry.
