The OnePlus One is one of the most interesting Android handsets of the first half of the year, bringing users monster specs for half the price of most flagship phones. But unfortunately, interested buyers still can’t purchase one. The handset has further been delayed, the company explained in an email, as OnePlus has opted for a last-minute software update for the handset that will address “some final issues.” So once again, OnePlus doesn’t have a ship date for those buyers who have received invites to purchase the handset. But that’s not necessarily bad news. CyanogenMod developer ciwrl took to Reddit to explain that the software update is actually needed to patch the recently revealed OpenSSL issues, which Cyanogen wanted to fix before releasing the One.
