More concrete evidence appeared today that Twitter—the social media giant meant for sharing links, retweeting, and unfortunate hashtags—will be moving into the realm of e-commerce. Dozens of users noticed a Payment and Shipping function in the settings for Twitters Android app this week, but the function doesnt appear to do anything. A Payment and Shipping tab was just added to my Twitter app. Twitter has been rumored to be pursuing online retail for a while, and the menu option isnt the first mysteriously dormant function to have raised eyebrows.
