Twitter’s new targeted advertising hooks up with your browsing history

After testing it out for six months, Twitters now rolled out changes that will tie its ads with information picked up from web browser cookies. Advertisers will be able to share browser-related details with Twitter, which can then match it to a specific user. Such information could include where theyre browsing from, as well as the sites they visit, aiming to offer highly relevant ads, according to the social networks official blog.
